HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SERVICE MY BIKE?

It is a difficult question to answer as it depends on the type of bike, how often you ride and the conditions you ride in (sandy, rainy, muddy, windy conditions increases wear on your bicycle)

In general Mountain bikes require more maintenance more frequently than Road bikes.

If you haven’t taken your bike out of the garage since last years’ Argus it would be a good idea to bring it in and let us check it out before you take it on the road.

If you ride often then a general rule of thumb is when you notice any problems or noises on your bike, bring it in and one of our technicians will assist you as quickly as possible to ensure the minimum delay in your training schedule and prevent premature wear on any key components.

Should your bike stay in sound health then have it cleaned, tightened and adjusted at least every three months. This will give us the opportunity to check the general condition of your bike and make component saving suggestions.

Plan to have a General Service every six months.

The worst and most costly thing you can do is neglect to have your bike maintained on a regular basis!

Happy cycling ...
